JA Bowl-a-Thon 2013 -- A Big Success!

It was a financially successful, fun, spirit-filled afternoon at Striker's in Rock Hill, as 22 teams and multiple enthusiastic sponsors took on the challenge of funding almost 200 JA classes requested by area schools for 2013.

Left:  The team from North Elementary was one of many that showed up in theme shirts for the  event.

While all pledged funds are not yet in, JA Director of the Catawba Region, Ann Elliott reports the event has brought in at least $15,000 at this time. That's a fantastic response and will insure that thousands of elementary and middle school students in York, Chester and Lancaster Counties of SC will once again be able to participate in Junior Achievement programs, and that new teacher requests for the classes can also be funded as additional pledged funds are received.

Thanks to all who supported this event through donations, participation as bowlers, volunteering to work, or spreading the word about it .... together, your efforts resulted in a great success!
