Why Offer Junior Achievement At Your School?

Because we teach financial literacy ..... we encourage entrepreneurship .... we give children hope that they will someday be able to own a business if they work hard .... and we create a better sense of understanding of business for children who would otherwise not be exposed to the business world. And just look at the smiling faces we leave behind when our classes are done!

Tomorrow is Bowl-a-Thon Day!

How quickly a year flies by! It seems like just yesterday that we held our last Bowl-a-Thon to benefit literacy training programs for children in York, Chester and Lancaster Counties in South Carolina. But unbelievably it's that time again!

Tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 11th, is the date for this annual event, and we're really looking forward to what has become a major fund-raiser and an afternoon of fun for everyone.

Our Board members got together yesterday to put together team bags to give out at sign-in. Every participant will get a long-sleeved t-shirt printed with the name of our corporate sponsors on the back, the JA logo on the front, and our t-shirt sponsor's name on the sleeve. T-shirts were donated by Hutchison Group, Inc.

Get ready ..... get set ..... bowl!

JA Board members got together on Thursday to sort, roll, and pack shirts to have them ready for Bowl-a-Thon participants on Saturday.

We're looking forward to watching our participating teams as they work hard to earn the coveted bowling pin "Spirit Awards," shown here.

Board members will be easy to spot if bowlers need some assistance -- just look for their

yellow shirts.
